## Define how the building will be used

Start with the process that will take place inside the hall. Production lines, internal transport, storage racks and future extensions all shape spatial requirements. The designer should receive this information before the structural geometry is fixed. Changes after component fabrication begins may require renewed coordination.

## Connect design with fabrication

Structural design, fabrication drawings and the delivery schedule should form a coherent whole. Agreeing on component segmentation and connections helps account for fabrication capabilities and transport conditions. Identify the person responsible for document approval and establish a change-management process early.

## Plan site readiness

Steel delivery does not automatically mean erection can begin. Foundations, transport access and equipment working areas need to be ready according to the agreed plan. The schedule should identify who confirms that each work area is ready.

Agree on building use and future expansion assumptions.

Set design approval milestones.

Link deliveries to the erection sequence.
This guide helps you prepare for a project discussion. Structural solutions and technical requirements are determined by the designer for each building.
