## Structural segmentation matters

Component dimensions affect transport, unloading and site operations. Segmentation in the documentation should be coordinated with the delivery plan. Designers and contractors need a shared understanding of route constraints and access to the erection area.

## Deliver in line with the work sequence

Space around infrastructure projects can be limited. Delivering every component at once does not always help. Agree on batch sequencing, storage locations and component identification so they match the erection stages.

## Define coordination checkpoints

The schedule should state the conditions for starting each stage. These may include document approval, fabrication acceptance or site-readiness confirmation. Assign responsibility for each checkpoint so deliveries do not arrive before the erection area is ready.

Agree component segmentation and identification.

Connect deliveries to the erection plan.

Confirm that the work area is ready.
This guide helps you prepare for a project discussion. Structural solutions and technical requirements are determined by the designer for each building.
